Sussex County Landfill – Section 2 Final Cap*

Description: Partial closure of approximately 7.5 acres of the existing Phase 1 and Phase 2A landfill cell. Work includes exposing the existing anchor trenches, grading the waste to states' slope requirements, installation of 12 inches of Intermediate Cover material, Geosynthetic Clay Liner, Geotextile, 40 mil White HDPE Geomembrane, Geocomposite, 12 inches of drainage sand layer, 6 inches of select fill material, blending and installation of select fill with geofibers and 6" layer of topsoil. Also includes the construction of an access road to the top of the landfill, installation of stormwater drainage manholes and piping, diversion swales, toe drains, seeding, mulching, installation of erosion control blankets and permanent gas extraction piping, temporary stormwater relief work in Cell 3 and the restoration of the site.

Dynegy – Phase II Ash Landfill – Partial Closure*

Description: Partial closure of approximately 4 acres of the existing Phase II Ash Landfill. Work includes erosion control, grading Coal Fly Ash, 40 mil HDPE Geomembrane, Geocomposite, Barrier Protection Layer, Topsoil Layer, Toe Drain System, Rip Rap Downchutes and Stilling basins at the toe. Also includes Rip Rap Diversion Swales, Seeding, Mulching and Erosion Control Blankets.

Sussex County Landfill Cell - Phase 3 - Solid Waste Facility*

Description: Project includes relocation of 36,000 cy of waste from landfill area 8 to landfill area 3. Landfill area 8 involves installation of clean fill, wetland topsoil placement and wetland seeding/planting. The area 3 landfill closure includes placement of approximately 40,000 cy of waste, gas vent installation, perimeter drainage installation, installation of a geo-composite gas venting layer, geo-membrane installation, geo-composite drainage layer, installation of a protective soil barrier layer, and placement of topsoil and seed. All work in accordance with approved contract plans with Part 360 NYS DEC Regulations.

Linden Landfill Capping*

Description: Capping an existing 55 acre landfill involving grading and moving approx. 200,000 cubic yards, including swales and drainage ditches, installation of 54 gas wells and the installation of approx. 920,000 sf of 40 mil textures liner. After the liner is installed we will be installing approx. 100,000 cubic yards of drainage sand, 50,000 cy of soil barrier and another 50,000 cy of topsoil.

Dynegy Northeast Generation Phase III Landfill Expansion

Description: Project consists of excavation of approximately 45,000 cubic yards of earth and rock to form the Phase III landfill cell. The landfill cell is composed of 48 inches of a low permeability soil liner followed by a secondary and primary HDPE liner and topped with a 24 inch granular drainage blanket. The components of the Secondary leak detection system are geocomposite and perforated PVC collection pipes. The primary and secondary collection systems consist of slotted PVC collection lines to HDPE double contained pipes to double contained manholes which contain pumps that convey leachate to a fiberglass forcemain.
