Orange County Sanitary Landfill – Phase 2B*

Description: Construction of 20 acre solid waste landfill cell. Work included excavation and disposal of approx. 125,000 CY of earth. Also includes placing of and compaction of approx. 300,000 CY of imported fill material. Included mining, hauling and placement of approx. 140,000 CY of clay material. Placement of approx. 90,000 CY of drainage sand material. Installation of approx. 1.7 million square feet of 60 mil HDPE liner. Installation of leachate collection system which included approx. 7,000 LF of collection pipe, approx. 2,000 LF of dual HDPE containment pipe with monitoring riser and cleanout and 12 - 6' diameter manholes. Also included are topsoil and seeding of approx. 27 acres.
